Hungary’s Gyor Ballet performs in Turkish capital
2024 celebrated as Turkish-Hungarian Cultural Year on occasion of 100th anniversary of entry into force of friendship agreement between 2 countries

ANKARA (AA) – Hungary's Gyor Ballet Company performed at the Ankara State Opera and Ballet building in the Turkish capital Sunday, attracting a large audience of art enthusiasts.
The event, part of the 2024 Turkish-Hungarian Cultural Year, was hosted by Hungarian Ambassador to Türkiye Viktor Matis.
Matis emphasized Hungary's commitment to showcasing its rich heritage in Türkiye through various artistic events, including painting, music, literature and opera.
He expressed his gratitude to Turkish authorities for their support and invited art lovers to upcoming cultural programs.
The year 2024 is celebrated as the Turkish-Hungarian Cultural Year with the theme of "Hundred Years of Friendship and Cooperation" on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the entry into force of the Turkish-Hungarian Friendship Agreement of 1923.
