According to India's military, the exercise will bring together contingents from the Indian and Uzbekistan armies to enhance “collaboration and strengthen military ties.”

“Exercise Dustlik aims to enhance joint training and facilitate the exchange of best practices in counter-terrorism operations within the sub-conventional domain,” the Indian Army said, adding that this initiative seeks to enhance military cooperation and interoperability between the two armies.

Exercise Dustlik is annually conducted alternatively in India and Uzbekistan. Last year it was held in Termez, a city in the Central Asian nation.
