Investor confidence in Eurozone up in May

BRUSSELS (AA) - The investor confidence index in the Eurozone was measured at minus 8.1 in May, with an increase of 11.4 points.

Sentix, which conducts market research and is headquartered in Frankfurt, announced that the index improved from minus 19.5 in April.

Market expectations for the index were at minus 14.9 points.

Thus, the index, which declined after US President Donald Trump's tariff cuts in April, rose stronger than expected in May.

The expectations index, which measures investors' forecasts for the next 6 months, also increased from minus 15.8 to minus 3.8.

The current situation index rose from minus 23.3 points to minus 19.3 points, reaching its highest level since August 2024.
