Compounds targeted in response to rocket launch on Israeli military base in Mount Meron

JERUSALEM (AA) - The Israeli army announced Saturday that it targeted two military compounds affiliated with Hezbollah in the Sidon region in southern Lebanon, in response to a rocket launch on an Israeli military base in Mount Meron.
“In response to the rocket launch on the Meron base earlier on Saturday, the Israeli Air Force carried out an unusual attack in the Sidon region,” Israeli army radio station wrote on X.
It added: “The air force attacked two large military compounds affiliated with Hezbollah, including ground-to-air missile systems.”
Israeli army also separately announced that it targeted an armed cell affiliated with Hezbollah, along with a missile launch site, military compounds, operational headquarters and infrastructure belonging to the group in southern Lebanon without specifying the location.
The army released a video that claimed to be the “bombardment of military compounds affiliated with Hezbollah in the Sidon region,” without specifying the location.
