BEIRUT, Lebanon (AA) – The Israeli army fired on Wednesday towards the vicinity of a Lebanese military vehicle in the town of Houla, southern Lebanon.
It has been the second such attack since the humanitarian pause in Gaza Strip began last Friday between Hamas and Israel.
At the Al-Abbad site, Israeli soldiers fired shots near a Lebanese military vehicle during a patrol carried out by the Lebanese army near the UN peacekeeping force, as reported by Lebanon's National News Agency.
The Israeli army fired at least one artillery shell on Tuesday on the Lebanese territory, marking the first shelling since the start of the Gaza humanitarian pause, according to official Lebanese media.
Tensions have flared along the border between Lebanon and Israel amid intermittent exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
The border tension comes amid an Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7.
