Israeli airstrikes kill at least 15 Palestinians in Gaza
Israel continues its brutal offensive on Gaza despite UN Security Council resolution demanding immediate cease-fire

GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – At least 15 Palestinians were killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes in the war-torn Gaza Strip on Thursday, a medical source said.
Eight people, including children, lost their lives in a strike targeting a house in al-Rimal neighborhood in western Gaza City, the source said.
One person was also killed and five others were injured in a drone strike on a house in the al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza City, the source added.
Another drone strike killed one Palestinian and injured several others west of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, another medical source said, adding that the bodies of two more people were recovered after an Israeli airstrike in the same city.
An Israeli drone fired a missile into a motorbike north of the southern city of Rafah, leaving three people dead, the source said.
Israel has continued its brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip following a Hamas attack last Oct. 7, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire.
The onslaught has resulted in more than 40,500 Palestinian deaths, mostly women and children, and over 93,700 injuries, according to local health authorities.
An ongoing blockade of Gaza has led to severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, leaving much of the region in ruins.
Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which has ordered a halt to military operations in the southern city of Rafah, where over one million Palestinians had sought refuge before the area was invaded on May 6.
