JERUSALEM (AA) - The Israeli army on Friday said it detected more rockets and combat drones fired from Lebanon toward areas in northern and central Israel.
The Israeli army said following the activation of air raid sirens in several areas in northern and central, five rockets crossed into Israeli airspace.
It added that its air defenses intercepted most of the rockets.
The Israeli Channel 12, however, said that at least one rocket fell on a home in the Arab town of Kafr Yasif, but no casualties were reported.
The Israeli army also said it detected the infiltration of combat drones from Lebanon toward northern Israel and sirens went off in the northern areas of the Upper Galilee and Western Galilee.
The army claimed to have intercepted several drones that entered Israeli airspace, but did not specify further details.
The Hezbollah group, for its part, said it targeted a group of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the settlements of Al-Manara and Doviv with rocket salvos.
A massive Israeli air campaign in Lebanon has been ongoing since late September against what it claims are Hezbollah targets, an escalation in year-long cross-border warfare since the start of the Gaza war.
More than 3,100 people have been killed and over 13,800 injured in Israeli attacks since October 2023, according to Lebanese health authorities.
Israel launched a ground assault into southern Lebanon on Oct. 1.
