Israeli forces batter Palestinian youth in occupied East Jerusalem

Footage circulating on social media shows Israeli forces repeatedly kicking youth after forcing him to ground

ISTANBUL, Türkiye (AA) - Israeli soldiers on Wednesday assaulted a Palestinian youth during a raid in occupied East Jerusalem, according to local sources.

Israeli forces carried out a raid in the Jabel Mukaber neighborhood in southern East Jerusalem to demolish a Palestinian-owned house on the grounds that it was “unauthorized.”

Reacting to the demolition, a clash broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces, and the place turned into a "battlefield."

Footage circulating on social media shows a group of Israeli soldiers repeatedly kicking a youth after forcing him to the ground and simultaneously hitting him with the butt of their rifles.

Later, Israeli forces reportedly detained the Palestinian they had assaulted.
