GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - At least 12 Palestinians were killed and others injured by Israeli airstrikes and shelling that targeted on Friday a small bus, a vehicle, a home, a motorcycle, and a group of civilians in various parts of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli jets targeted the home of the Dhuhair family in the Al Musbah area north of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of six Palestinians, according to a statement from Gaza's Civil Defense.

In a separate incident in the same area, a medical source from Nasser Hospital in the west of Khan Younis, who requested anonymity, confirmed that a person was killed in an attack targeting a motorcycle.

Furthermore, a medical source, also speaking anonymously to Anadolu, reported that three Palestinians, including two children, were killed and nine others injured in an Israeli strike targeting a small bus near the Abbas intersection west of Gaza City.

Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said in a statement that a person was killed in an Israeli strike on a group of civilians on Al-Sha'af Street in eastern Gaza.

In a second statement, Basal added that another Palestinian was killed and several others injured when Israeli forces struck a civilian vehicle on Al-Banat Street in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.

Israel has continued a brutal offensive on Gaza following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7 last year, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire.

Nearly 41,300 people, mostly women and children, have since been killed and more than 95,500 injured, according to local health authorities.

The Israeli onslaught has displaced almost the entire population of the territory amid an ongoing blockade that has led to severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine.

Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
