Israel's offensive against Yemen, Syria, Lebanon is ‘dangerous escalation’ supported by US: Hamas
Regional tensions have risen due to Israel’s brutal offensive on Gaza Strip

GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – The Israeli military’s attacks on Yemen, Syria and Lebanon represent a “dangerous escalation” backed by the US, the Palestinian resistance group Hamas said Sunday.
In a statement, the group condemned "the terrorist Zionist bombardment of Yemen targeting civilian facilities in the port of Al Hudaydah as well as the aggression against Syria, which constitutes a dangerous escalation and an extension of the occupation's aggression and crimes in Palestine, Lebanon and the Arab region with blatant American support.”
Hamas expressed full solidarity with the Yemeni people against the “Zionist-American aggression.”
They praised their steadfastness in supporting Palestine and standing up for its people's suffering.
The group emphasized that "the criminal enemy will not break the morale of our people or the peoples of our region, nor will it undermine the resolve of the resistance."
Yemen’s Houthi group said earlier in the day that four people had been killed and 49 injured in an initial toll from Israeli airstrikes on the port city of Al Hudaydah in western Yemen.
Regional tensions have escalated due to Israel’s brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip, which has killed nearly 41,600 people, mostly women and children, following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7 last year.
The conflict spread to Lebanon, with Israel launching deadly strikes across the country which have killed more than 800 people and injured over 2,500 others since Sept. 23.
Several Hezbollah commanders have been killed in the Israeli onslaught, including its leader Hassan Nasrallah.
