ISTANBUL (AA) - A court in Istanbul released 11 suspects, including the top executive of Fi Yapi company, Fikret Inan, on Thursday, who were being probed for links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), according to a judicial source.

The suspects had been charged with providing financial support to FETO.

The Anadolu 3rd Criminal Court of Peace ordered the suspects would remain under judicial supervision, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, said.

A total of 120 suspects were wanted in the case as part of an investigation into Akfa Holding, its 44 subsidiaries, and the Yeni Magazacilik company. Eventually, authorities were able to nab 102 suspects.

Fi Yapi’s Inan had been remanded in custody in August on the grounds that he provided financial support to the FETO/PDY (Parallel State Structure).

Led by the U.S.-based Fetullah Gulen, FETO is accused of orchestrating the July 15 coup plot in Turkey as well as being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.

The July 15 defeated coup left 248 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
