Suspects have been accused of being linked to Fetullah Terrorist Organization

ISTANBUL (AA) - A court in Istanbul remanded in custody 31 lawyers on Monday for being allegedly linked to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO).
The suspects that include Faruk Secen -- brother of a fugitive former Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Fikret Secen -- were charged with "being member of an armed terrorist organization".
The arrests were part of a probe carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office into FETO-linked lawyers.
The remand came following the arrest of at least 42 lawyers on the charge of being linked to FETO, which the Turkish government says orchestrated the coup bid on July 15, 2016, that martyred 250 people and injured around 2,200 others.
The remaining 11 suspects were released under judicial control and under an international travel ban.
