Istanbul hosts international satellite conference

ANKARA (AA) – Leading world satellite manufacturers will meet in Istanbul Tuesday to show off their latest high-tech wares at the 2nd Global Satshow (GSS) through conference sessions, exhibits, and exclusive business meetings.

The GSS, with Anadolu Agency as its Global Communication Partner, will be held with the strategic partnership of the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MUSIAD) and under the auspices of the EMEA Satellite Operators' Association (ESOA), MUSIAD said in a statement Monday.

The two-day event, whose main theme is “Smart Connections,” is supported by the Global VSAT Forum (GVF) and the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI).

Turkish Science, Industry and Technology Minister Faruk Ozlu is expected to attend the event, according to MUSIAD.

Representatives from local and international companies in the field of defense, aviation, communication, and space will speak at the event, the organization said.
