Istanbul to host cement industry experts on May 15

ISTANBUL (AA) - The INTERCEM International Cement Conference will be held on May 15-17 in Istanbul.

The conference, which will be sponsored by the Cement, Glass, Ceramics and Soil Products Exporters' Association, will gather the international cement producers, traders as well as equipment and service providers.

The event will host more than 400 participants from 40 countries, Malcolm Shelbourne, INTERCEM chief executive, said in a statement on Friday.

"Turkey plays an important role in the global cement market," Shelbourne said. "Turkish cement is high quality and the services of the country are very good."
