Japan's trade balance posts surplus of $1.4B in June
Japan's exports up by 5.4% and imports by 3.2% year-on-year in June

ISTANBUL (AA) - Japan's international trade balance posted a surplus of 224.04 billion Japanese yen ($1.4 billion) in June, increasing by 513.4% on a yearly basis.
The country's imports rose 3.2% to 8.99 trillion yen and exports rose 5.4% to 9.20 trillion yen year-on-year in June, the country's Finance Ministry revealed on Thursday.
The US and China were the main trade partners for Japan in June.
Transport equipment took the lion's share from overall exports with 23.5% in June, followed by machinery with 18.1%, and electrical machinery with 16.4%.
On the import side, mineral fuels accounted for the largest share with 20.3%, followed by electrical machinery with 15.2%.
