Japan's unemployment at 2.8% in April

ISTANBUL (AA) - The unemployment rate was 2.8% in Japan for April, increasing by 0.1 percentage point, official figures from the country's statistical bureau showed on Friday.

The unemployment rate for March 2024 and April 2023 was 2.7%.

The unemployment rate was at 2.5% for women and 3% for men in April.

The employment rate - for ages 15 to 64 - was 61.4% in April, up 0.2 percentage point on a monthly basis.

Labor force participation rate was at 63.1% as of April.
