RIYADH (AA) - The Saudi Defence Electronics Company (SADEC), a joint venture uniting Turkey's leading defense company Aselsan and Saudi Arabia's development and investment company TAQNIA DST, signed three agreements with Saudi companies, SADEC CEO Sultan Khalid Almorqi said on Monday.
The agreements were signed during the 4th Armed Forces Exhibition for Diversity of Requirements and Capabilities (AFED 2018) and include radar, camera, electro-optics and electronic warfare systems services, he told exclusively Anadolu Agency.
AFED 2018, where Turkey was the guest of honor, was organized in Riyadh between Feb. 25 to March 3, 2018.
Almorqi said SADEC had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Saudi automotive development company to provide services for radar and camera systems for the armored car that will be produced in Saudi Arabia.
SADEC also signed another MoU with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of National Guard to provide service for radar, electro-optics and electronic warfare systems and ensure indigenous productions, he stated.
Meanwhile, SADEC agreed along with three Saudi firms -- including the Zamil Industrial Investment Company -- to support local factories.
SADEC was created in December 2016.
