ISLAMABAD (AA) – The interim Taliban government in Kabul on Thursday protested to Pakistan over alleged strikes inside Afghanistan that killed three people and injured seven more.

There was no immediate reaction from Islamabad to Kabul's accusations.

Afghanistan's interim Foreign Ministry summoned Pakistan's envoy in Kabul and lodged a protest, strongly condemning the "bombing of civilians and violation of airspace" in the eastern provinces of Nangarhar and Khost, near the Pakistani border, the ministry said in a statement.

"It was also made clear to the Pakistani side that the protection of Afghanistan's sovereignty is a red line for the Islamic Emirate, and such irresponsible actions will definitely have consequences," the statement added.

According to the ministry, the strikes killed three people and injured seven more.

However, it did not provide additional information about when the incident occurred.
