ISTANBUL (AA) - Karmod completed the container office building project at Türkiye’s Eregli Shipyard in Black Sea city of Zonguldak, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The 484-square-meter office facility, which has six separate blocks, will service the shipbuilding sector.
The structures will include four two-story blocks and two single-story blocks, with office sizes of 42, 64, and 252 square meters.
"We produce safe and long-lasting office buildings using a container construction model that minimizes on-site construction activities," Karmod’s General Manager Abdullah Yuceer was quoted as saying in the statement.
Yuceer highlighted that the company’s on-site assembly process allows it to meet office needs rapidly.
“In the Eregli project, we prepared all 6 blocks for use within just 6 days," he added.
He went on to explain that the container constructions are prepared at industrial facilities before being erected on-site by experts who handle everything from bolt-nut connections to electrical installations.
"We provide businesses with safe office spaces quickly, avoiding the disruptions of traditional construction. This container model reduces material wastage and labor costs, benefiting enterprises financially," Yuceer said.
Yuceer also mentioned that the container office buildings employ a sandwich panel technology for the walls and roofs, which provides sustainable temperature control and energy efficiency.
"The assembly mechanism allows the components to be arranged side by side or stacked, resulting in configurable workspaces that correspond to the project's individual requirements."
