Karmod produces custom-made water storage tank for a passenger train

ISTANBUL (AA) – Karmod has designed and manufactured a customized water storage tank for use in passenger train carriages, company said in a statement on Friday.

The product was specifically designed to meet the requirements of a Romanian firm that manufactures passenger rail carriages. The tanks will be used to hold clean water for the train's restrooms.

Karmod provides solutions for a variety of industries, including transportation, military, food, and automotive, through custom-made polyethylene products, Karmod Plastic Group General Manager Talay Ozturk was quoted as saying in the statement.

He emphasized the company's ambition to become a sought-after brand for industrial solutions using unique mold designs.

“Karmod designs molds which facilitate output across many industry sectors. We use these molds to mass produce polyethylene raw materials at our plants,” Ozturk said, highlighting that their products are used in a variety of industries, including shipbuilding, automotive, transportation, military, construction, textile, food, and agriculture.

“We measure the requested parts for custom production and create preliminary designs tailored to usage conditions and customer expectations. Once durability and compliance tests are completed, we move forward with mass production,” Ozturk explained.

He further elaborated that polyethylene's high strength and lightweight properties make it a popular choice for industrial manufacturing.

“Karmod assists companies in developing industrial equipment by offering production solutions,” he added.

Ozturk also explained the production process of the water storage tank developed for the Romanian passenger train.

"The company contacted us through our website, specifying their need for a custom-molded clean water tank to be used in the restrooms of passenger carriages. Based on technical measurements, we prepared a preliminary design. Following design and measurement tests, we produced the molds and started mass production of the water tanks using polyethylene raw material.

Initially, we produced 600-liter capacity water tanks in sets for use in five different passenger trains and shipped them to Romania," he concluded.
