According to the Kazinform media outlet, Kazakhstan plans to focus on industrial cooperation projects, forming a portfolio of joint projects, and developing transport and logistics corridors, including the Middle Corridor and the North-South route.

Raimbek Batalov, who has been appointed president of TCCI, underlined that the Turkic direction is one of Kazakhstan’s key priorities of foreign economic policy.

“It is important to emphasize that this positive dynamic is being driven by the expansion of supplies of higher value-added products,” he said, adding that export of grain and sunflower oil, petrochemical products, foodstuffs, and processed materials have significantly increased.

The Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 2019. Its main objective is to promote economic cooperation among Turkic countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Hungary.

In October, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokaev, addressing the 12th summit of the Council of the Heads of State of the Organization of the Turkic States outlined that industrial cooperation plays a significant role in the diversification Turkic countries’ economies.

“In this regard, we suggest adopting an Industrial Cooperation Program, which will outline specific priority projects,” he said.

He also proposed to establish a Council of Best Practices in Energy Efficiency within the framework of the Turkic States Organization.
