Kremlin says Russia, US share many common views on Ukraine

ISTANBUL (AA) - Russia and the US share “many elements” in their positions on Ukraine, but it is too early to talk about any specific deal terms, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.

“There are many elements that really coincide with our position,” Peskov told a reporter, emphasizing that while work on Ukrainian settlement efforts continues, “it is premature to speak about any conditions.”

He added that the negotiations cannot be conducted publicly, signaling that talks are ongoing behind closed doors.

Peskov also stressed that the positions of US President Donald Trump on Ukraine overlap in many aspects with those of Russia.
