Kuwait urges its nationals to leave Lebanon amid fears of war
Israeli media reported that Hezbollah may launch preemptive surprise attack against Israel

ANKARA (AA) - Kuwait urged its nationals in Lebanon on Friday to leave as soon as possible amid growing fears of a war between Israel and the Lebanese group, Hezbollah.
The Foreign Ministry also asked nationals not to go to Lebanon "at the present time in view of the security situation taking place in the region."
Israeli media, including the news portal, Walla, reported earlier that Hezbollah may launch a preemptive surprise attack against Israel.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said Friday that Israel will soon make “necessary decisions” to halt attacks from the resistance group.
The Israeli military approved operational plans Tuesday for a wide-scale attack on Lebanon amid rising border tensions with Hezbollah.
Hezbollah, for its part, links the cessation of its attacks on Israel to the end of Israel's onslaught on Gaza.
Tensions have soared along Lebanon's border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Tel Aviv pressed ahead with its deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip, which has killed more than 37,450 victims since Oct. 7.
