Kyrgyz ambassador praises Türkiye as 'leading country' in international arena

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye has achieved "great successes and victories" in its 100-year history and is "one of the leading countries" in the international arena, according to Kyrgyzstan's ambassador to Ankara.

"During this 100-year period, brother Türkiye has faced very big tests. But Türkiye has achieved great victories in those tests and has now emerged as a bright leading country not only in the Middle East and the region but also in the world in technology, economy, geopolitics, politics, and culture," Ruslan Kazakbayev told Anadolu at the TRT World Forum 2023 in Istanbul.

Kazakbayev congratulated Türkiye on its 100th anniversary and said he wishes the next 100 years to be "bright for all Turkic republics."

He said Turkic republics, as well as the Turkic world, should play an important role in Türkiye's foreign policy and he wished the future of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) to be "very bright."

Kazakbayev said Türkiye made great offers to mediate in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Concerning the ongoing conflict in Gaza, Kazakbayev said Kyrgyzstan is "proud" that Türkiye was the country that made the "loudest voice in the world" to bring peace to the region as soon as possible.
