WASHINGTON (AA) - The US announced Thursday that Kyrgyzstan repatriated 99 displaced women and children from the al-Hol and al-Roj camps for displaced people in northern Syria, where the YPG/PKK terror group is accommodating families of Daesh/ISIS terrorists.

"This week, 99 displaced women and children from al-Hol and al-Roj camps in northeast Syria were repatriated to their home country of the Kyrgyz Republic," CENTCOM said in a statement, adding that 4,500 people were returned to their communities and countries from the camps in northeastern Syria.

Approximately 30,000 individuals from more than 60 countries outside Syria remain in the al-Hol and Roj camps, most of whom are children under the age of 12, according to State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.

"The United States stands ready to assist countries in their effort to repatriate their nationals," said Miller.

The al-Hol and al-Roj camps for displaced people in Al-Hasakah province accommodate families of Daesh/ISIS members who fled eastern Deir ez-Zor province due to fighting.

The UN and nongovernmental organizations have voiced concerns about the humanitarian conditions in the two camps.

Conditions in the al-Hol camp are dire, according to UN experts, who have voiced serious concerns about the situation of women, given the lack of meaningful access by anyone other than security actors at that location.
