Latin American countries report new COVID-19 cases, fatalities
Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Guatemala and Honduras report new infection cases, deaths

BOGOTA, Colombia (AA) - Countries across Latin America have reported new COVID-19 infections and fatalities, according to official data announced late Saturday.
- Brazil
At least 731 people in Brazil lost their lives over the last 24 hours, raising the virus-related death toll to 587,797, Health Ministry data showed.
With 13,406 people testing positive over the past day, the total number of cases exceeded 21.1 million.
The country has reported over 20.1 million recoveries so far.
- Mexico
According to the Health Ministry, Mexico's COVID-19 case tally surged by 12,929, while fatalities increased by 1,046 over the past day.
The country of some 126 million people has so far recorded more than 3.52 million cases, 269,015 deaths, and over 2.87 million recoveries.
- Colombia
Colombia’s Health Ministry reported 26 more fatalities from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the country’s death toll to 125,713.
The total number of cases surpassed 4.93 million, including 1,435 new infections, while the number of recoveries stood at over 4.77 million.
- Argentina
Some 3,017 new infections raised Argentina’s case tally to over 5.2 million, according to Health Ministry data.
The nationwide death toll rose to 113,816 as 176 patients died over the past day.
More than 5.22 million recoveries have so far been reported.
- Guatemala
According to local media in Guatemala, the country reported 41 fatalities in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 12,795.
The number of coronavirus cases in the country rose by 4,299 to reach 515,756, while a total of 460,278 people have recovered from the virus.
- Honduras
Over the past day, Honduran local media reported 30 deaths related to COVID-19, pushing the death toll to 9,400.
The number of infections rose by 1,329, raising the total number of cases to more than 354,970 million.
More than 108.22 million people have recovered so far.
