Leaders of Azerbaijan, Tatarstan discuss bilateral cooperation
Ilham Aliyev says dialogue between 2 leaders is 'main guiding factor' for development of cooperation in all fields, says Azerbaiijan

ISTANBUL (AA) - Azerbaijan's president on Tuesday discussed cooperation with sub-regions of Russia, including Tatarstan, in a meeting with Tatar leader Rustam Minnikhanov.
"Within the framework of comprehensive Azerbaijan-Russia relations, a wide range of ideas were exchanged between Azerbaijan and Tatarstan on energy, petrochemical, investments, transport, logistics, industrial corporations, humanitarian, tourism, information and communication technologies and other issues of cooperation," the office of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in a statement.
The statement added that Aliyev said dialogue between the two presidents was "the main guiding factor for the development of our cooperation in all fields," pointing to a "comprehensive development of relations" between Azerbaijan and Tatarstan.
For his part, Minnikhanov expressed his satisfaction that Tatarstan-Azerbaijan relations are developing as part of the framework of cooperation between Russia's sub-regions and Baku.
"Cooperation between the industrial zones operating in Azerbaijan and Tatarstan was touched upon at the meeting, and it was reported that these issues will be discussed more broadly at the business forum held in Baku," the statement further noted.
