Lebanon, Jordan sign 22 agreements, MoUs to boost bilateral cooperation
Deals signed during 8th session of joint higher committee in Beirut

BEIRUT / ISTANBUL (AA) – Lebanon and Jordan on Wednesday signed 22 agreements and memorandums of understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The deals were signed at the conclusion of the eighth session of the Lebanese-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee in Beirut, in the presence of Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and his Jordanian counterpart Jaafar Hassan.
According to a statement by the Lebanese Prime Minister’s Office, the agreements cover a wide range of sectors, including industry and trade, vocational training, education, digital transformation, transport, youth, local administration, civil protection, social development, tourism, media, social security, labor, energy, environment, investment, and civil service.
Preparatory meetings for the joint committee began Tuesday and were co-chaired by Jordan’s Minister of Industry Yarub Qudah and Lebanon’s Minister of Economy and Trade Amer Bisat.
