2 Azerbaijani servicemen killed while performing duties in area of Lankaran border detachment, says state border service

ISTANBUL (AA) — A lightning strike killed two servicemen in Azerbaijan on Sunday, according to the country's state border service.
The agency said in a statement that the two servicemen were killed while performing their duties in the area of the Lankaran border detachment, located in the country’s southeastern district of the same name.
The statement went on to say that the incident was being investigated.
"The leadership of the State Border Service expresses deep condolences to the families and relatives of our deceased servicemen and asks for patience," it added.
