Mexico sees $72M trade deficit in July
Figure shows reversal from $1.04B trade deficit recorded in June

ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico saw a trade deficit of $72 million in July, according to the country's statistical authority data released Tuesday.
The market expectation for the figure was to show a $1.47 billion deficit, after it showed a $1.04 billion deficit in June.
In the first seven months of 2024, the trade balance showed a deficit of approximately $5.57 billion, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) said in a statement.
In July, the value of merchandise exports was almost $54.8 billion, up 14.7% from the same month of the previous year.
The value of imports totaled nearly $54.9 billion last month, an annual decrease of 13.3%, said INEGI.
