Mexico's industrial production rises 0.4% in October

ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's industrial production increased 0.4% in October, compared to the previous month, the country's statistical authority announced on Monday.

On a monthly basis, industrial production fell 0.1% in September.

While industrial output in mining increased 1.6%, construction rose 1%, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

At an annual rate and with seasonally adjusted series, the monthly industrial activity indicator increased 3.3% in real terms during October, INEGI said in a statement.

In September, industrial activity jumped 3.8% on an annual basis.

While industrial output in mining increased 0.3% year-on-year, construction decreased 0.9%, according to INEGI.
