Mexico's producer prices decline in August

ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's producer prices decreased 0.04% in August on a monthly basis, according to figures released Monday by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

The figure follows a month-on-month increase of 0.71% in July.

At a monthly rate, primary prices fell 7.49%, but secondary and tertiary activities rose 0.65% and 0.11%, respectively, said INEGI.

Annually, producer prices increased 4.93% in August, compared to the same month of 2023.

That figure, however, showed a slowdown from an annual gain of 5.46% seen in July.
