Military copter crash kills 1 in Democratic Republic of Congo
Incident happened during helicopter landing at N’Dolo Airport in capital Kinshasa; dead and injured were foreign nationals, but no details released yet

KINSHASA, Democratic Republic of Congo (AA) - A military helicopter of the Democratic Republic of Congo crashed on Wednesday, leaving one dead and two injured, officials confirmed to Anadolu.
The casualties were all foreign nationals, but their identity has not been disclosed. Two seriously injured crew members were taken to a hospital.
The incident happened while the helicopter was landing at N’Dolo Airport in the capital Kinshasa.
The cause of the accident is unknown, but authorities are investigating.
Firefighting vehicles were rushed to the area to control the flames.
Located in the commune of Barumbu, on the banks of the Funa River, N’Dolo Airport is mainly used for light aircraft.
Plane crashes are often reported in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
On Tuesday, a military drone that belonged to M23 rebels crashed in the eastern North Kivu province, according to local sources.
