A rescue worker with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed over a dozen dead and wounded with victims being evacuated and hospitalized.
A spokesman for NEMA told Anadolu Agency that a two-story kindergarten building on Lagos Island caved in at about 10 a.m. local time (0900GMT).
