No plans for additional mobilization as forces strong enough to continue ‘operation’ in Ukraine, says Russia

MOSCOW (AA) - Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said on Tuesday that the country has no plans for additional mobilization because the current strength of the forces is sufficient to continue the "special military operation" in Ukraine.
The Russian armed forces have enough servicemen to continue the "special military operation" in Ukraine, Shoygu said at a meeting in Moscow.
According to Shoygu, over 335,000 people have voluntarily joined the Russian army since the beginning of the year.
Regarding the situation in the Karabakh region, he said that "the selfless and professional actions of Russian peacekeepers helped avoid more casualties during the escalation of the conflict."
More than 98,000 civilians, including 32,000 children, were evacuated from Karabakh to the territory of Armenia thanks to mediation by Russian peacekeepers, he noted.
The Azerbaijani army initiated local anti-terrorism activities in Karabakh on Sept. 19 to establish constitutional order in the region.
Illegal Armenian armed forces in Karabakh surrendered after the 24-hour clashes.
Azerbaijan, having established full sovereignty in Karabakh, has called on the Armenian population in the region to become part of Azerbaijani society and get the country's citizenship.
