ANKARA (AA) - North Korean media on Wednesday condemned U.S.’ democratic presidential front-runner Joe Biden after he criticized Pyongyang’s leader Kim Jong Un.
Biden, a former vice president, has recently criticized U.S. President Donald Trump, saying: “Are we a nation that embraces dictators and tyrants like [Vladimir] Putin and Kim Jong Un? We don't, but Trump does.”
Responding to the remarks, state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said: “What he [Joe Biden] uttered is just sophism of an imbecile bereft of elementary quality as a human being, let alone a politician.”
The news agency said Biden had been accused even within his party “for his vulgar acts and words about women and his thoughtless remarks”.
“It is well known to the world that he received a grade of F during university days for plagiarizing other's article in his paper and could not but give up running for presidency in 1988 for plagiarizing a speech of a British politician that led to a public furor,” the report alleged in a scathing attack at Biden.
“Such a guy had the temerity to insult the supreme leadership of the DPRK [Democratic People Republic of Korea], an intolerable and serious politically-motivated provocation against the DPRK,” the news agency.
It added that North Korea will “never pardon anyone who dare provoke the supreme leadership of the DPRK but will certainly make them pay for it”.
