COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AA) - Following the major setback Norway's ruling Labor Party suffered in September's local elections, the nation's premier has shuffled the Cabinet.
Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store on Monday replaced Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt with Espen Barth Eide, who had been climate and environment minister. Eide also served as foreign minister a decade ago.
Three ministers left the Cabinet and two were moved to new posts.
The Cabinet was also expanded to 20 members with the creation of a new Digitalization Ministry.
In the local elections held on Sept. 11, the ruling Labor Party fell short of being the top party, the first time this has happened since 1924.
While the conservative main opposition Hoeyre party won 26% of the vote, Labor came in second with 22%.
