Novartis Turkey wins Global Top Employer award
Drugmaker awarded for its success in human resources by global authority on recognizing excellence in people practices

ANKARA (AA) – Top Employers Institute has lauded drugmaker Novartis Pharmaceuticals Turkey as the 2021 Global Top Employer for its success in human resources.
The company was also certified the top employer in Europe and Turkey for the fourth time in a row by meeting criteria of "talent strategy, talent acquisition, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning and development, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, diversity, inclusion and culture," according to a statement from Novartis Turkey on Wednesday.
Novartis Turkey is among 16 global top employers certified for their excellence in employee conditions by Top Employers Institute, a global authority on recognizing excellence in people practices.
Avinash Potnis, managing director of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Turkey, said the award shows the strength and effectiveness of the company's corporate culture and human resources policies.
"Our corporate culture which consists of curious, inspiring, and competent employees is the fundamental element of our success in Turkey," Potnis noted.
Novartis Pharmaceuticals Turkey Human Resources Director Senay Kizilkaya underlined that the company has adapted easily to the pandemic period thanks to the "strong culture" it created with human resources practices.
The company, Kizilkaya said, has been successfully implementing remote working with innovative human resources applications, flexible working model, and digital infrastructure solutions for its employees to effectively carry out business processes during the pandemic.
"In the meantime, we turned this period into an opportunity and continued to support our employees in their career journeys with structured programs," Kizilkaya stressed.
