OECD area annual inflation falls to 1.2% in October

ISTANBUL (AA) - Consumer price inflation in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) area dropped to 1.2% in October, versus 1.3% in September, the organization said on Thursday.

Energy price inflation continued to drop in the month, to 7.7%, at a faster pace than September (6.5%), while food price inflation was stable at 3.6%.

OECD annual inflation, excluding food and energy, also fell to 1.6% in October, versus 1.6% in September.

Meanwhile, inflation in the euro area (the 19 EU countries using the euro) was minus 0.3% in October, stable with September’s figures.
