ISTANBUL (AA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Saturday condemned the killing of two Palestinians by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank.
The latest act is one of the crimes and violations committed by Israel, the OIC said in a statement.
The OIC called on the international community to "take responsibility for Israel's systematic state terror against the Palestinians and take action to put an end to these crimes."
On Friday night, Israeli forces killed a 17-year-old Palestinian during a protest against illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.
Fevzi Mahalfe, 19, was hit by Israeli soldiers' bullets while driving in Nablus' Sebastia town.
Earlier, a clash between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers broke out after the Israeli forces used force to disperse protesters.
Local councils and institutions had given a call for anti-settlement demonstrations in the village center after Friday prayers in the village.
According to witnesses, Israeli forces used live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, and tear gas against Palestinian demonstrators.
Every Friday, Palestinians hold protests in various areas of the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem to denounce the internationally recognized illegal Jewish settlements.
Israeli soldiers frequently use tear gas, rubber bullets, and, at times, live ammunition to disperse the protesters.
