Over 3,000 more virus cases reported in Southeast Asia
At least 100 more COVID-19 fatalities, 2,450 new cases confirmed over past 24 hours

JAKARTA (AA) - The number of coronavirus cases in Southeast Asian countries reached 218,252 on Monday, including 6,291 fatalities and 126,715 recoveries.
A total of 3,361 more cases and 100 deaths were recorded in member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations over the past day.
Indonesia, the worst-hit in the region, reported 96 fatalities, bringing the nationwide death toll to 4,239.
The number of cases climbed to 88,214 with 1,693 additions, while recoveries rose by 1,576 to reach 46,977.
The Philippines reported four more virus-related fatalities, raising the country’s death toll to 1,835.
The number of infections increased by 1,521 to hit 68,898, while 607 more recoveries pushed the total to 23,072.
In Singapore, 123 new cases were registered over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 48,035, while the death toll in the country stands at 27.
Malaysia confirmed 21 more cases, taking the total to 8,800, while recoveries reached 8,555 and the death toll remained at 123.
In Thailand, a new case took the total to 3,250, and the country has so far registered 3,096 recoveries.
Myanmar confirmed one more infection, bringing the overall count to 341, while a total of 276 patients have recovered.
Vietnam reported one new infection, moving its total cases to 383.
The number of recoveries reached 360, while no fatality has been reported in the country to date.
While Cambodia has 35 active cases, Brunei Darussalam and Laos are the only member countries of the bloc that have not registered any infection.
