Palestinian teen dies of injuries from Israeli gunfire in West Bank

At least 1,117 Palestinians killed, 11,500 injured by Israeli fire in West Bank since October 2023

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - A Palestinian teenager died Sunday of wounds he sustained from Israeli army fire in the northern West Bank, the Health Ministry said.

A ministry statement said that Mohammad Hanani, 17, breathed his last in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus.

Hanani was shot in the head on Saturday evening during an Israeli military raid in the town, according to the official news agency Wafa.

Another 16-year-old was injured in the raid.

Israel has intensified operations in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since launching its military campaign in Gaza on Oct. 8, 2023.

At least 1,117 Palestinians have been killed and around 11,500 others injured in attacks by the army and illegal settlers in the West Bank during that period.
