DIYARBAKIR, Turkey (AA) – Eight people were injured when a bomb-wired car, targeting a police vehicle, detonated in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir province on Tuesday.
According to Anadolu Agency correspondents at the scene, two policemen and six civilians were injured in the attack, blamed on the PKK terrorist group, in the Dicle district of Diyarbakir.
The injured people were immediately rushed to the Dicle State Hospital. There were damages in nearby buildings after the bomb attack.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.
Since then, nearly 600 security personnel, including troops, police officers, and village guards, have been martyred, and more than 7,700 PKK terrorists neutralized in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
