WARSAW (AA) – An exit poll conducted after the European Parliament elections in Poland gave ruling Civic Coalition (KO) a resounding 38.2%, with opposition Law and Justice (PiS) on 33.9%.

The IPSOS poll for commercial television channel TVN24 gave far-right Confederation 11.9%, with ruling coalition partner Third Way, at 8.2%, the smallest coalition partner Left at 6.6%, while the Polish People's Party (PSL) at 8.2%. The number of seats would be: KO 21, PiS 19, Confederation 6, Third Way 4 and Left 3.

Onet's estimated calculations are based on the latest National Electoral Commission data that showed that the final turnout in the elections may be less than 40%.

Turnout in the European Parliament elections at midday was 11.66% - the National Electoral Commission announced at a press conference.

European Parliament elections usually enjoy the lowest interest among voters, but this result was also lower than the previous European elections in 2019 when turnout was a record 45.7%.
