Putin meets UAE interior minister at Kremlin

Presidential office releases video of meeting also attended Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev

MOSCOW (AA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Wednesday UAE Interior Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Moscow, the Kremlin said.

A footage released by the presidential press service showed exchange of greetings between Putin and Sheikh Saif inside the Kremlin complex.

Details regarding the agenda and topics covered during the meeting were not immediately disclosed by either side.

Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev also attended the gathering.

The UAE has earned recognition for its mediatory role, notably facilitating multiple prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine during the ongoing conflict.

The country has also acted as a neutral ground for similar exchanges involving Russia and the US.
