Qatari emir, Azerbaijan president discuss bilateral, regional developments

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Ilham Aliyev also speak on Doha's participation in COP29

ISTANBUL (AA) - Qatar's emir and the Azerbaijani president spoke over the phone on Friday and discussed a range of issues.

According to a statement by the Qatari emir's office, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed with Ilham Aliyev bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them, as well as the most prominent regional and international developments.

The two also discussed Qatar's participation in the UN climate change conference COP29 in Baku, which started on Nov. 11 and continues till Nov. 22.

Doha is participating in the conference with a delegation headed by Environment and Climate Change Minister Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie.
