Qatar’s emir, top Russian diplomat discuss regional developments, energy cooperation
Discussions take up bilateral cooperation in energy field

ISTANBUL (AA) - Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met in Doha on Wednesday with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to discuss regional developments and cooperation in the energy field.
A statement by the emir’s office, the Emiri Diwan, said the discussions took up bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy and investment and the latest regional and international developments.
The top Russian diplomat arrived in the Qatari capital on Tuesday from Iran as part of a regional tour.
Lavrov's last visit to the Gulf nation was in December during which he participated in the 22th Doha Forum.
