Rare albino wallaby joey brings joy to Australia wildlife park
Olaf’s birth marks unique moment for conservation efforts

ISTANBUL (AA) - A rare albino wallaby joey has been born at Symbio Wildlife Park in Helensburgh, New South Wales, the zoo announced on Wednesday.
The wallaby, named after Olaf, the comic relief snowman in the hit animated film Frozen, represents a unique genetic occurrence, with albinism estimated to appear in only 1 in 100,000 wallabies.
Zoo officials expressed joy over the birth of Olaf, emphasizing the significance of this rare event.
Albinism in animals is caused by a genetic variation affecting melanin production, resulting in Olaf's distinctive white fur and pale pink eyes.
While his rare coloration makes him a standout attraction, it would pose significant challenges in the wild due to increased visibility to predators.
Symbio Wildlife Park shared the news on social media, playfully noting: "We just can't let it go how cute Olaf is!"
