Russia claims taking control of Bugruvatka settlement in Ukraine

Russian army improved positions along frontline, says Defense Ministry

MOSCOW (AA) – Russia claimed on Tuesday that its army has taken control of the settlement of Bugruvatka in Ukraine's Kharkiv region.

"As a result of active actions, units of the Sever (North) group of forces liberated the settlement of Bugruvatka in the Kharkiv region," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

According to the ministry, the Russian troops have improved their positions along the frontline.

The ministry also said a number of Western-made weapons were destroyed and captured over the past day.

"In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 596 aircraft, 274 helicopters, 24,046 unmanned aerial vehicles, 521 anti-aircraft missile systems, 16,016 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,296 multiple rocket launchers, 9,570 field artillery and mortars, as well as 21,701 vehicles have been destroyed," it said.

Russia's "special military operation" in Ukraine started in February 2022.
