Russia continues advances in Ukraine, claiming another settlement in eastern Donetsk region
Southern group of forces captured settlement of Ostrivske, says Defense Ministry

MOSCOW (AA) - Russia claimed on Friday that its Southern Group of Forces took under control the settlement of Ostrivske in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region.
Russian forces have accelerated their advance in Donetsk in recent months, said to be taking control of dozens of settlements.
Its biggest success was capturing the key city of Vuhledar on Oct. 1, which opened the way for further advancements.
Russia and Ukraine are still fighting in the border region of Kursk, where Kyiv launched an incursion on Aug. 6, and in eastern Ukraine.
